This is a collection of Circles Tending Towards Squares.
"These five are all round, but they tend toward the square." - Zhuangzi
In one dialogue, the Taoist philosopher Zhuangzi (369 BC - 286 BC) talked about how you can't actively attain many mindstates or virtues. You have to passively let them arise. He listed a few, and how trying too hard to attain them corrupts them: "These five are all round, but they tend toward the square."
These compositions reflect that process -- circular things, gradually gaining corners.
